If you’ve been looking for the best water park in San Bernardino County, your search ends now. Splash Kingdom Waterpark in Redlands is eager to show off their 20 acres of fun. From kids to adults, (and everyone in between) Splash Kingdom has you covered.
Let’s break it down for ya!
If you’re not sure whether or not young kids will be able to enjoy the day, let me assure you, this waterpark is for everyone (except maybe those who hate water!).Immersed in about foot high water, Fantasy Island has child-size animal slides, water guns, and a giant water bucket that splashes everyone who dares walk under it. If that doesn’t sound like your thing you can always just sit back and laugh at those who do get drenched.
The Forgotten Lagoon – Activity Pool
This activity pool has slides for kids and adults, a net climb, lily pads to climb on as you hang on to an overhead rope, water cannons, water volleyball and many more activities for those high-energy types. There’s also plenty of sunny lounge chairs for sun-worshippers, and many cabanas for those who need some shade.
The Tower of Kings – Water Slides
The Tower of Kings is a 165ft tall tower that houses 20 slides, setting this park apart from the dozens of smaller water parks in the Inland Empire!!! This area is mostly for teens and adults (there are a couple of slides for the kids). The slightly scary climb up this tower leads to 7 very different slides at three levels. The one you choose all depends on your level of bravery!
■Tut’s Tomb is a dark body slide for individual sliders- no tube needed.
■ Dark Chamber is another dark slide, but for single or double riders with a tube. The ride will drop you in a splash pool below.
■The Sphinx Express is a three-person open water slide with extreme banks, a 360° turn, and splash down in three and a half feet of wet fun.
■The Wrath of Ra is the most popular slide at Splash Kingdom. Half of the slide run is open and the other half enclosed, winding up the finish of the run with an exhilarating 31-foot drop into 3 inches of water. It’s the longest three-man raft slide in California, running 745 feet in length.
■Pharaoh’s Revenge is an inline raft ride that begins 70 feet up. This ride allows for 3 people, and reaches speeds of 40 mph with a giggle inducing 20-foot drop at the end.
■Ramses Rocket-Speed Slide will send you traveling 400 feet in less than 12 seconds, reaching speeds up to 40 mph. With many visitors not tall or brave enough, dare devils will be treated to a short line.
■Pharaoh’s Falls-Free Fall is a single rider body slide, a tad slower than others, but you still have to deal with a 70-foot freefall!
Level 3- Scary!!!
■The Anileator- Standing 90 feet high and 625 feet long, this slide holds the title of being the world’s tallest enclosed waterslide. You reach speeds of up to 50 mph, which makes this slide only for extreme and experienced water sport enthusiasts- not for the faint of heart!
Riptide Surf Pool – FlowRider (Surfing Machine)
Surf machines are all the rage in Southern California. Obviously it’s hard to beat the waves at some of our amazing beaches, but for those who are learning to surf or those who don’t want to spend 2 hours on the road (in each direction!), the FlowRider® is an awesome invention.
A FlowRider® is the trademarked name for a surf machine designed by a company based in San Diego that pumps a steady stream of water over a soft surface, simulating a perfect wave. Splash Kingdom experts are on stand-by to instruct you if it’s your first time or help you improve the skills you already have. There’s usually a crowd around this popular attraction to watch some of the locals show off their impressive moves!
The Nile River (Lazy River)
The lazy river is my favorite attraction! Plop into an inner tube (provided for you!), listen to the music, and drift along. Flowing in and out of the sun, the Nile River takes around Fantasy Island, leads you under two bridges, through a cave, next to a water fountain and past several decoratively painted animal sculptures.
New this year, the wave pool offers gentle to a rougher waves (they get a little higher in the deep end) for those who enjoy a ride on the tubes or just watching the waves crash against the shore.
Grand Pizza Buffet
Your buffet ticket includes a soft drink or coffee, Icee and a frozen yogurt plus a whole array of food options. Choose fresh, hot, ready-made pizza with various toppings and sauces from tomato to BBQ, or go for a healthier meal including salads and veggies. It’s not exactly a gourmet meal, but it will certainly fill the youngsters up for the day. You eat in the large dining room, which includes many party rooms, and large projector screens running family-friendly TV. FYI-You can return to the buffet at any time while eating, but once you leave the dining room you cannot return. The buffet’s (online) $7.99 price tag makes this yet another great deal at Pharaoh’s.
Upper Deck Sports Lounge
Who would have guessed that one of the best sports bars in the Inland Empire is hidden on the second level of the signature pyramid building at Pharaoh’s? Recently added during the 2010 remodel of the park, the bar features a large variety of plenty beers on tap, high quality liquor and 15’ HD projector screens. These screens allow Pharoah’s to expand select pay-per-view MMA events into numerous rooms so everyone can finally get a good seat to watch the fight.
If you’re with your family, either skip admission to the water park or take a break from the rides and enjoy a cold one while kickin’ back in a nice air conditioned room. Night owls welcome! The Upper Deck Sports Lounge closes at midnight.
Splash Kingdom Park
Known by many names, the park is now known as Splash Kingdom at Pharaoh’s and has hours of fun for kids, adults (young and old) and the whole family. The park includes bumper boats, bounce houses, go karts, miniature golf.
Who doesn’t enjoy a ride on the bumper boats? Especially when they include water guns so you can drench friends and family. The bumper boats are included in the all-access pass, which is in addition to the Splash Kingdom pass.
No matter how old you get, go karts are a thrill. Pharaohs shows off three different tracks, the most popular track is the one that includes the choice of normal go karts or the trucks, which are faster and therefore even more exciting! The go karts are available as an upgrade only, so be sure to have this included in your package.
Enjoy a full day of Miniature golf at Splash Kingdom Waterpark with an 18 hole course of crazy turns and zig zags through a very pleasantly fun looking course. The Mini-Golf course is the perfect entertainment for Family, Friends, or a Date at the most visually profound Mini-Golf course in the Inland Empire. Surround yourself with the statues of Splash Kingdom idols, safari animals, space rockets, magic mountains, dinosaurs, water ponds and more.
Skytown Trampoline Park
