A Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival tradition for years, camel and ostrich races continue to captivate audiences with their crazy riders and unexpected animal behavior. They will be here again for your enjoyment at the 71st Annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival, Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 26.
Camels are fun to watch too, and are a force to be reckoned with. Check out these amazing creatures at the races! Races are free with admission. (Race times include: February 17th at 3p.m.; February 18th-20th at 11a.m.; February 21st-24th at 3 p.m.; February 25th at 11a.m., and February 26th at 12 p.m.)
Pam Schultz of Wild Science brings the mysterious and entertaining aspects of science with The Wizard Challenge.he Wizard Challenge is an excursion into the wild and amazing world of science through dozens of highly interactive, fun and visually captivating displays and activities. Both children and adults have great fun participating in various hands-on activities and exhibits.
Robosaurus is a marvel of engineering – a robot T-Rex that travels the country in the form of a futuristic trailer on the back of a semi-truck. Robosaurus transforms into a 30-ton fire-breathing colossus in less than two minutes flat! Seeing Robosaurus in action is like watching a big-budget Hollywood movie come to life! Cars and even planes are no match for Robosaurus: its 28,000 pounds of biting force per square inch crush them like toys. Flames shoot from its nostrils in twenty-foot bursts as audiences go wild!
As always, included with the price of Fair admission, is the headliner entertainment on the weekends at the Fantasy Springs Concert Pavilion. The Eli Young Band will perform at the Fair on Saturday, February 18th, Voz de Mando will take stage on Sunday, February 19th, Cheap Trick will be back at the Fair with their performance on Friday, February 24th, WAR will take us back on Saturday, February 25th and on the last day of the Fair, Sunday, February 26th, Super Fiesta will pack the house with excitement with Los Dareyes La Sierra and Sonora Santanera.
The Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival is presented by Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, the desert’s leader in gaming and entertainment. The Fair runs February 17-26, 2017.
