Where can you find a place to celebrate all things Irish? Check out the Los Angeles County Irish Fair and Music Festival at the Pomona Fairplex!
With 9 stages the Irish Fair shows over 60 shows daily! The entertainment line-up includes: Mulligans, Wrath of McGrath, Kris Colt & the Black Rose Band, 42nd Highlanders Regiment Pipes & Drums, Black Top Blaggers, Christopher Yates, The Knockabouts, The Lancemakers and Whooligans. Not to mention Sheepherding and beer drinking competitions.
Check out the “Ancient Village” for beautiful handcrafted jewelry and swords, uncover your families’ Coat of Arms, or even try on a kilt!
The kids will love Leprechaun Village, with its carnival style rides, lively storytellers, winner every time games, petting zoo, pony rides, and even a balloon artist! Keep your eyes open for “McCloud the Scotsman”, a stilted interactive performer who wanders the fairplex.
If you’re in the mood for good old Irish fare, try the Irish Stew in a Breadbowl, Shepherd’s Pie, and Bangers & Mash. If that’s not your thing, you can always have a hot dog or hamburger! Plus they have several pubs and beer stands or, if you’re feeling daring, try the green beer!
$16- General Admission, $14 for Seniors & Students, $5 for kids 6-10. Tickets available at the gate or online. In 2013, the Irish Fair will be on March 9 and 10. Please see website for dates, times, and additional information: la-irishfair.com.
