October 11, 2013

Chino Hills- “Fall Harvest Day”- Are you ready for some family fun? Come to the City’s 7th Annual Fall Harvest Day! Enjoy a variety of festivities including an old-fashioned hayride, arts and crafts projects, photo booth, and a pumpkin patch. Pre-registration required by Friday, October 9th.

Ontario- “Childrens Spooky Film Festival” at Ovitt Family Community Library. Fun films with thrills and chills for the family!

Perris- “Pumpkin Train” at Orange Empire Railway Museum. Ride the Pumpkin Train to the pumpkin patch, pick out and decorate your own pumpkin and then ride the train back to the Museum for more fun activities. In addition to trolley rides there will be a bounce house and a spooky caboose and other activities. It’s our annual Halloween event and it’s sure to please the whole family. Ages 12 and up $18.00 Ages 5-11 $14.00 (pricing includes pumpkin) ages 4 and under are free, but does not include pumpkin.

Pomona- “Pumpkin Festival” at Cal Poly Pomona. Join us for the 21st Annual Pumpkin Festival where you can choose from thousands of pumpkins right out of the patch. Eat and play games at the College of Agriculture student club booths or head over to our popular Insect Fair featuring nearly 500,000 live and preserved insects (runs from 9am-5pm). We also have a corn maze, petting zoo, horse rides, entertainment, and lots of activities for kids! If you like pancakes, we’ve got them. Join us for our pancake breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning from 8am-11am. Bring your appetite!

Riverside- “Zombie Crawl”  Zombie themed event with children’s activities, facepainting, costume contest and entertainment followed by an outdoor movie shown at dusk. Little Red Riding HoodTime: 3-9 PM

Riverside- “Ghost Walk” Experience the age old art of storytelling this Halloween in downtown Riverside as local speakers and performers delight young and old with original Glendoratales of ghouls and ghosts. Ghost Walk Riverside is an adventure through some of Riverside’s oldest and most historic buildings. Time: 6-10:00PM

Riverside- “Fright Night” at Rancho Jurupa Park. This fun family event features a wicked array of arts and crafts for ghouls and goblins of all ages. Pick up a trick-or-treat bag full of tasty treats, have your face painted, or color Halloween pictures. There will be a thrilling costume contest, haunted miniature golf, supernaturally tasty food, and a spooky kid-friendly movie! $5/person. Time: 5-9:00pm.

Temecula (Ronald Reagon Sports Park) “Halloween Family Carnival”. Trick or Treat.. Win some Sweets… Wear a costume and compete! It’s the annual Halloween Family Carnival. Games, prizes, fun jumps, face painting and more! We need you to enter the screaming contest, so start practicing. Moms and Dads don’t be afraid to dress-up with the kids, new family-themed costume contest category this year! This old-fashioned carnival is a Temecula family tradition. Fullerton- “Spooky Night” at the Robert and Francis Fullerton Museum of Art. Every year, RAFFMA turns down the lights and strings up the cobwebs for an educational evening inspired by the museum’s permanent display of ancient Egyptian art. This Halloween-alternative event consists of a spooky night tour, a museum scavenger hunt, crafts and a costume contest. Guests are strongly encouraged to come fully dressed in their best Halloween attire. Time: 6:30-8:30pm.
