University of California, Riverside graduate students and local historians as well as Citrus State Historic Park staff will be in the museum to discuss ongoing research taking place as part of a partnership between the California State Parks and our local universities to reinterpret the park’s history through the theme of migrations and immigrations. As part of our month-long celebration of Black History Month, this event’s focus will be African Americans in the citrus industry, with particular attention to the history of Black communities in the Inland Empire.
If you have any information or materials related to this important regional history, we would love for you to participate in this project. Without community voices, this history cannot come to life. Be a part of history by sharing yours–please join us!
