On Sat. Jan. 23, 2016 from 1–5 pm at Cable Airport in Upland, Dale Bros. Brewery will be celebrating its 13th anniversary with the “Brews and Bros Craft Beer Festival.” Net proceeds from this event will benefit the Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF). Featuring more than 80 craft beverages from 35 microbreweries, 3 wineries and two cider makers, this event provides a fun-filled afternoon with live reggae from Upstream, a vintage and custom bicycle show and food from local gourmet vendors and food trucks. Doing good has never been so tasty.
This family friendly event will include kids’ games and craft sodas. Advance purchase price for general admission is $45 per person and VIP admission is $60 per person. VIP admission includes early admission (12pm), a keepsake glass and bottle opener, preferred parking and access to a rare beer hour from 12 -1pm. Ticket prices go up at the door on the day of the event. Children 12 and under are free, while those under 21 or a designated driver enter at a reduced rate of $10. Advance tickets are available online at www.brewsandbrosfest.org, or at Dale Bros Brewery, 2120 Porterfield Way, Upland.
CEF supports the Claremont Unified School District throughout the year by raising funds to support enhanced educational opportunities for students. Last year, CEF supported Claremont schools by gifting nearly $200,000 raised solely through fund raising efforts in the community with partners like the Dale Bros. CEF Board President, Richard Chute noted “CEF is very excited by the opportunity to partner with Dale Bros. Brewery. The Dale brothers, Curt and Andy and their staff are committed to the community, and often host fundraisers supporting local non-profits at the Brewery; it’s just how they do business. They do well by doing good. We are truly fortunate to work with them on their biggest fundraising event of the year.
Last year’s festival raised over $18K for CEF.”
While primarily benefitting CEF, the event will also feature a fun and friendly “Brew Crew Tipping Competition” that will raise donations for other local non-profit organizations. Representatives from local non-profits will be pouring beer for the craft breweries to garner tips for their favorite local charity. The Brew Crew pourer with the largest number of tips will get bragging rights on stage at the end of the afternoon, and all tips will then be donated to CEF or to the chosen charities. So come out to see who is pouring and reward them and their chosen charity with your tips.
